With this in mind, it’s best to keep to 3-5 meal options.
An event with 100 meals will generally see a breakdown of 65 cod, 22 sausage, 10 chicken and 3 vegetarians.

All meals will be served in trays with Knives, Forks, Napkins. Extras such as Mushy peas, Curry sauce, Pickled onions, Eggs can all be added to the event to create the traditional fish and chip experience.
20 miles are included each way within the basic hire price, additional miles are
charged at £1.50 per mile each way.
The frying range has mixed pans and therefore, we would not recommend anything for vegans.
As you can imagine, the frying range runs on gas, so we work to 50-60 meals an hour being served, (actually we could do 100 meals an hour but we don’t like to rush an event). Therefore, we allow 1 minute a meal to be served, 100 meals = 2 hours onsite serving.
Additional hours onsite can be arranged at £45.00 per hour.
One hour set-up and one hour closedown are also required.
The trailer carries a minimum spend for all events, either catering events or the trailer chip shop.
For distances up to 40 miles £600
For distances of 41 miles of more £700
The minimum spend does not include the towing fee which is additional.
To hold the date in the diary, Ashley Young Holdings Limited requires a refundable deposit of £50.00, if cancelled with more than 21 days’ notice. If the hire is cancelled under 21 days, then no refund will be given. Minimum spend must be
cleared into the businesses account no later than 14 days prior to the event, pre-authorised card deposits will be taken 24 hours before the event and payment taken within 24 hours after the event finishes.
The trailer and towing vehicle will require solid ground to access a site, no responsibility will be held by Ashley Young Holdings Limited for damage to underground services. The trailer and towing vehicle have a maximum weight of 7500kg.
Space- The trailer is 7×2.5m and therefore needs to be positioned with safe access all round. The trailer will also need to be positioned into place by the towing vehicle so there must be manoeuvring space.
Power – The trailer has 3 petrol generators; these are to be positioned approximately 7-10 meters away from the trailer where possible. Alternatively, the trailer can run on 3 separate electrical sockets, maximum of 16 amps required per a circuit.
The trailer is only to be positioned on private ground and NOT public sites. The trailer is licensed by Fareham Borough Council for private events and not roadside.
